Here at Clash of Steel, we strongly support the work of Re-enactors and Living History enthusiasts bringing life to history, learning what it might have been like to live as they did, and encouraging others to remember the past.

The 2nd Guards Rifle Division is a Living History Society whose members are dedicated to representing an accurate portrayal of the men and women that served with the Red Army in the Great Patriotic War, 1941 - 1945 (The Second World War to the Western Allies). The Unit was formed in the late 1980s by a few enthusiasts whose interest lay in the War on the Eastern Front.

They portray a late war impression of the ground role that the Fallschirmjager undertook. From Normandy through to Holland and early 1945. A friendly and sociable group who attend Military Shows and Living History Battles.

This group depicts rifle men of the armoured reconnaissance
battalion in the elite Wehrmacht Division - Grossdeutschland, that
saw service in most of the main theatres of war on the Eastern front.
A site worth visiting with some interesting video footage of the unit.

Part of the WWII LHA, the East Yorks normally portrays the 2nd Bn around D-Day and after in NW Europe. However we can also cover other areas as and when the need arises. Within the unit there is also an attached ATS section so that women can take part in an historically accurate role.

They portray the units which comprised 53rd Welsh Division in the Second World War and currently have 1/5th Welch, 4 RWF and 6 RWF sections. Their site also has the greatest amount of information regarding 53rd Welsh Division in any one place from many sources. They are the fastest growing British Infantry re-enacting group in Wales and also offer consultation services for film, television, and general research enquiries regarding this much overlooked unit and their engagements.

This is a small group putting on displays in and around the south wales area. They portray the 5th D.C.L.I. in operation 'Market garden' and put on static displays for the local M.V.T. team. They try to portay as accurately as possible the men and equipment as it would have been for operation 'market garden' as they were attached to the 43rd Wessex Division or XXX Corps and their website goes into much detail on a British infantryman's kit and equipment.

We are an award winning group and portray 56TH Independant Infantry Brigade 2nd Battalion Essex Regiment , we started his group over 5 years ago ,we go to military events as well as going into schools to give talks on the history of the british tommy during ww2 , our displays include period tents ,kit and equipment and vehicles.

Named after the Allied Airborne Army that was established shortly after the Normandy invasion, the organisation responsible for the planning, co-ordinating and undertaking of Airborne operations in the European Theatre of Operations in World War 2, the FAAA was formed in 1994 as an historical display group dedicated to preserving the history and traditions of the WW2 American Airborne soldier. Within the group can be found individuals whose interests span all of the war raised American Airborne formations, as well as other more conventional units.

We are a relatively new unit - formed in 2009 - of enthusiastic and experience re-enactors whose aim is to accurately recreate the life of the British infantryman in 1944. We do this via battle re-enactments, living history displays and encampments and the demonstration of tactics for the education and entertainment of the public.

A WW2 Royal Artillery Living History Group. They portray three Regiments of the RA covering Both Field and Ack Ack - the 124th Field Regt RA, 25th Light Anti Aircraft Regt RA and the only Female regiment in the History of the British Army 93rd Searchlight Regt RA, giving them a unique military female re-enactment unit.

A group dedicated to keeping history alive by recreating, as accurately as possible, the life and times of German and British soldiers during the latter half of World War II.he NAS comprises two main units; representing the German Armed Forces are the Panzergrenadiers of 9.Kompanie, III Bataillon, SS-Panzergrenadier-Regiment 20, 9.SS-Panzerdivision "Hohenstaufen"; representing the British Armed Forces are the airborne engineers of 9 (Airborne) Field Company, (The Shiny 9th), Royal Engineers, 1st British Airborne Division.

An umbrella group who portray different units from Britain, America, Russia and Germany from 1939-1945 in Living History displays and Battle Re-enactments.They do not allow any political involvement to enter their activities.
The association was formed mid 2004 by re-enactors wanting to form and attend events in the North of England.

A group of living history historians who potray the 2nd Battalion 24th Foot the South Wales Borderers as they would have appeared on D-Day at Le Hemel.
A small dedicated unit, accurately portraying the normal "Tommy Soldier" of that day. Their dress reflects the way fighting men looked in action and at rest behind the lines in France.

A group representing 2 different units permanently based at the Yorkshire Air Museum, but working at locations throught Northern England. They recreate both the 1st Bn The Border Regt, (a Glider-borne Airlanding unit), and a British Home Guard unit. They have a wide set of resources including an impressive heavy-weapons section.

An association of militaria collectors, historians and hobbyists. Their prime aim is to preserve and display the equipment and weapons used in the North-West Europe Theater of Operations during the Second World War, and to remember the people involved in the conflict by accurately portraying them in organized mock battles, living history campsites and public re-enactments.
