Summary
In 30th Division, XIII Corps, sector German counter-attacks on the gains of the last two days were repulsed by artillery fire. 38th Div., XV Corps were relieved by 62 Brigade, 21st Div. Patrols from the brigade finally cleared Mametz Wood and linked with 7th Div. on their right and 1st Div., III Corps, on their left. Overnight [12/13th] considerable progress was made by troops of X Corps attacking Ovillers.
