The Hundred Years war
War Name : The Hundred Years war
Date(s) : 1337 - 1453
Summary
More than a century of intermittent war between England and France during the late Medieval period.
This war saw the rise of the English Longbow as a decisive factor in war, and although this period saw some of the great chivalric leaders, it began the decline of the Knight as the primary weapon.
By its end, handguns and artillery were superceeding other missile weapons and plate armour was becoming obsolete.
