XIV Corps. The 20th Division troops went into Leuze Wood as their barrage lifted. They were able to consolidate and established a post on the western corner of the wood facing Ginchy. The 5th Division attempted to take Falfemont Farm. They gained all of it but were driven out and at the end of the day held the northern and western edges of it.
XV Corps. The 7th Division made repeated attempts to take Ginchy but all attacks failed.
