Summary
Lord Chelmsford led a column of British and native troops to relieve Etshowe.
After spotting each other late on April 1st and Laagering for the night, the Zulus attacked at daybreak in 2 columns. As at Kambula, the attacks were held off by volley fire, including the use of Gattling guns, and were driven off by a cavalry counter attack.
