Summary
The Spanish line was held by 50,000 troops. Dugommier, commanding the French ordered a series of attacks on the Spanish wings. The second days fighting followed the same plan. Dugommier was killed in the course of the day but Pérignon continued the same pattern. On the 20th, although it left his centre critically weak to resist a counter attack, he reinforced his right wing and the Spanish left collapsed. The Spanish right soon followed suit.
An attempt to hold the fortress of Figueras against a French siege only lasted until the 26th November.
