Summary
The French VII Corps under St Cyr made a rapid move through the mountains to break the Spanish blockade of Barcelona. Many of the General Vive's Catalans were new levies. The French attack was in a single massive column which easily broke the Spanish line. The Spaniards withdrew from the blockade.
