Summary
One of a complex group of three actions. A major attack by the French army of the Danube under Masséna simultaneously attacking the Russian forces of the coalition armies, Zürich, while his detached third division attacked the Austro-Russians on the Linth river. The two battles were separated by the length of Lake Zürich. In a third action, Näfels, repulsed Austrian attempts to cross the Linth.
