Summary
Bonaparte seant Augereau's Division down the east bank of the Brenta and Massena's down the west bank. The Austrian rearguard were easily flung back into the town and the French followed them in. The main bridge was soon in French hands and the Austrians defeated piecemeal. The French captured 30 guns and 200 limbers and ammunition wagons
