Summary
Interference by the King of Prussia caused his army commander to misdirect the battle. Faced with a numerically superior force the Prussians withdrew. The Austrian corps did not reach the battlefield, neither did the French corps under the Prince de Bourbon. Losses were slight on both sides but the allied invasion of France was over.
