Summary
The well suplied and equipped fortified city of Stettin was surrendered with hardly a shot being fired to an advanced unit, Lasalle's Light Cavalry Brigade, of the Grande Armee. Troops retreating from Jena/Aüerstadt were not allowed by the Governor to swell the garrison but made to continue their retreat.
