We are taking a fairly broad definition of Southern Europe. We include actions in Greece, Sicily, Italy and the south of France. Naval actions in the Mediterranean, Aegean, Ionian, Adriatic and Tyrrhenian seas are included in this theatre; as is the battle for Crete.
