Summary
A stalemate situation arose with Muslim troops defending the city with the investing Crusaders surrounding them and with Saladin's much larger force in turn surrounding them. The impasse was broken by the arrival of the kings of France and England who injected new spirit into the Crusaders. The city fell to the Crusaders.
