Summary
Sir John Moore intended to attack Soult's detached corps. The British cavalry division [two brigades] under Lord Paget came upon Soult's cavalry brigade at Sahagun. The French were badly mauled, one of the regiments so badly that it had to be disbanded. A brilliant British action with odds of two to one against.
