Summary
Lannes [Grande Asrmee V Corps] found Bennigsen in a strong position at Pultusk. Inspite of the Russian advantage Lannes attacked immediately. His command was in a perilous position when Bennigsen attempted/began to envelop his right flank. But one of the divisions [Third] of Davout's III Corps came up in time to save the situation. Darkness ended the indecisive struggle.
