Anzac Corps. Through the evening they were subjected to a heavy bombardment. Some advances were made but 51st Batt was forced back to its start line, 49th Batt made good gains but was forced to relinquish them before dawn on the 15th. 50th Batt were smashed by a German barrage and forced back.
II Corps. At 0515hrs the 49th Division attempted to regain ground [Skyline Trench] it had lost the previous day. A second attempt at 2200hrs using bombers working along the communication trench, managed to clear most of Skyline Trench by dawn on the 15th.
