Summary
Four Corps [Anzac, II, III, and XV] were engaged in attacks of various strengths. Losses in all Corps were significant but only the Anzac and II Corps were successful.

XV Corps attack was put in by 52 brigade, 17th Division. It was met with HE and gas shells which stopped the attack.
0230 hrs III Corps attempted to take more of Intermediate trench but units of 34 Division were soon beaten back. Repeated attempt in the evening were also unsuccessful.
Anzac Corps 2nd Division starting at 2115hrs successfully attacked two German trench lines and through the night beat off repeated German counter-attacks.
II Corps, 12th Division, 36 Brigade also starting at 2115hrs attacked the trench known as Ration Trench. Fighting through the night by morning they had taken all of it in their sector. To their left 37 Brigade had also captured the trench in their sector.
