Summary
This brilliant raid was lead by Marshal Soult using a division of infantry and a brigade of cavalry. The Spaniards were in possession of 17 French guns which they had captured at Talavera. Soult crossed the Tagus and retook the guns plus another 16 Spanish guns and 400 horses.
