Summary
The battle by which the Allies took Paris was fought mainly on the northern edge. Initially poor generalship and staff work fed Allied troops [Russians] in piecemeal and they suffered heavy losses before the troops of other Allied armies joined them. Over five thousand of the Allies 6,700 losses were Russians in the early phase of the battle.
