Summary
The French continued their advance into Holland. Nijmegen was held by a considerable force [ten to twelve thousand more than the 1220] but the great bulk of the garrison evacuated/broke out of the town on the night of the 6/7.
The remaining troops were trapped by the French as they destroyed the bridges.
There were few casualties on either side but the troops who surrendered were sent into captivity.
