Summary
The Austrian raiding force [mainly Hussars and Jägers] launched a midnight raid on a numerically superior force. Most of the Neapolitans fled immediately but the Austrians were able to capture about 1,000 men and all the guns and baggage. After this 'battle' only Ancona remained to be subdued.
