Summary
Marshall Soult's IV Corps of the French Grande Armee approaching Memmingen from the east came upon Count Spangen's isolated command. The Austrians were low on ammunition, confused by chaotic orders and morale was poor. All Austrians along with their guns and supplies were captured.
